Mount Pleasant Park Is Getting a Redesign — Have Your Say by November 16

Changes are being planned for Mount Pleasant Park, and the County of Brant wants to hear from you.

The County is planning a series of improvements to the park, starting with a new, Council-approved multi-sport court scheduled for construction in 2027. Two proposed park layouts have been developed, and your feedback will help shape the final design.

What is being planned?

Multi-sport court: Council has approved a new multi-sport court for construction in 2027. The proposed location is on the existing skate park pad — and the County wants your feedback on whether that’s a suitable spot.

Public washrooms: Washrooms are planned for 2028. The County is exploring different types of facilities to determine what would best meet the needs of park users.

Skate park or pump track: The County is looking at whether to relocate the existing modular skate park, or consider a small pump track for non-motorized bikes and scooters instead.

Railway heritage museum: In 2019, Council gave the Brant Railway Heritage Society permission to relocate the restored LE&N train station to Mount Pleasant Park. Two possible locations are being considered, along with supporting features such as parking and loading areas. The timing of the relocation has not yet been confirmed.

Option A or Option B?

The two design concepts differ mainly in where the railway heritage museum would sit:

Option A: the museum closer to Burtch Road.

Option B: the museum closer to the trail, behind the tennis court.

Both concepts include the new multi-sport court and the potential changes to the skate park — and depending on the final layout, the soccer field may also be affected.

Some of these improvements have already received Council approval, but decisions about their locations and the other park features are still open. That’s where your feedback comes in.

Take the survey

The survey takes about 5 minutes, and it closes November 16, 2026. Review the two designs and share your thoughts here:
