THE MAYORAL RACE
Current Mayor David Bailey is not seeking re-election. Six certified candidates are competing for Mayor.

County of Brant Councillor, dairy farmer and communications/public engagement professional with 20 years of experience. She currently represents Ward 1.

Former Ward 5 Councillor and St. George resident. Her campaign emphasizes public confidence, financial stability, engagement and protecting Brant’s rural and small-town character.

Third-generation member of a St. George farm family. Graham says his work across Brant and Ontario has given him opportunities to hear residents’ concerns.

Professional experience includes waste management, road maintenance, financial services and winter maintenance, alongside community involvement.

WARD 1 — TWO SEATS

Born and raised in St. George, John ran a local business for 44 years alongside his wife and lists gardening, woodworking and guitar among his interests.

Long-time St. George resident with farming-community roots. John highlights product development, problem solving, family, Scouting and community work.

A Ward 1 resident for more than 40 years who has worked with local farmers and business owners on financial decisions and planning.

Lifelong St. George resident, entrepreneur and community member with experience in trades, landscaping and property management.

Born and raised in St. George, Mike is raising his family and building his business in the County.
WARD 2 — ONE SEAT

Raised in Ward 2, James is a husband, father, stepfather and grandfather with more than 20 years of baseball coaching and executive community involvement.

Decades of family and community roots in Brant, with extensive municipal experience.

Sitting Ward 3 Councillor with council experience since 2018 and committee leadership experience.

Known as Joe, Emad is a long-time Brant resident who operated a convenience store and pizza shop in Ward 3 for about 14 years.

Says Brant and Paris are at an inflection point, emphasizing responsible growth, affordable housing, public transit and major development questions.

Senior-management professional with 17+ years in healthcare and a community leader/nonprofit founder.

Long-serving Brant political figure seeking re-election, emphasizing constituent service, transparency and careful budgeting.

Grew up in Scotland in a heavy-construction family. Married for 20 years, a parent of three and active in community volunteering.

Advocating for Ward 4 and the County since 2012, Involved in infrastructure and zoning watch dog.

Born and raised on a dairy farm, with more than 30 years in Brant and experience in customer service, project management and community work.

Raised three boys in Ward 4 for more than 20 years and emphasizes small-town life, volunteering and bringing people together.

More than 20 years in the County and a Burford resident, with a strong community and family focus.

More than 30 years in film and television, including major productions, bringing professional and community experience to the Ward 4 race.

Sixth-generation Brant County farmer focused on thoughtful, practical leadership and getting the fundamentals right; active in youth sports and agricultural fairs.
WARD 5 — TWO SEATS

Sitting Ward 5 Councilor. Fourth-generation resident of the Langford/Jerseyville Road area who grew up on a family farm and has been active on community issues across Ward 5.

Father of five, small-business owner, volunteer firefighter and community advocate.
